Breast cancer awareness is something that all of us at Underground Printing care deeply about. UGP is always passionate about helping people get the custom apparel they need, but even more so than that do we want to help raise awareness for important causes. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many people want to wear pink and support those they know and love that have been affected by it. 

In the U.S., about one in eight women (12%) will develop invasive breast cancer, and roughly 275,000 cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2020. Breast cancer is also the second-most common cancer among women in the U.S., and second-most fatal. Since 1985, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been founded, helping raise awareness for all those affected by this serious illness. 

There are over 3.5 million survivors of breast cancer in the U.S., and that includes men. Approximately 2,500 men in the U.S. get diagnosed with breast cancer each year, as well. Whether it’s a walkathon, any other sort of physical activity, or showing support with a pink ribbon pin, there are many ways to get involved with helping to raise awareness and finding a cure for breast cancer.
