Our submissions for April’s Pic of the Month contest were once again, nothing short of amazing. We are always excited to see everyone’s new custom shirts and the smiles that they bring. As usual, we had to narrow it down to just one winner which is never an easy task. That said, we got it done, and we congratulate Cathy for winning our April Pic of the Month contest and a $100 UGP custom apparel gift card!!
Here at Underground Printing, we love hearing all of the inspirational stories behind the shirts we print! This month's story was a very uplifting one from Cathy Clayton about her daughter: “My Daughter Charley Clayton age 26 passed away July 18th, 2022. When she was in her last Fairs and Festivals State pageant in Charleston, WV, she received her top 5 stage questions... If you could start a festival of your own what would it be and why?...... "This is super random, but I have like a really weird peeps obsession, like during Easter time so, I would have a festival, sometime during the month of Easter, and it'd be peeps themed, so there'd bunnies everywhere and we'd eat lots of marshmallows and it'd be a grand ole' time!" Charley Clayton. When she passed, we wanted to do something good to help her family and her friends move through the grief, and that's when the Charley Clayton Memorial Peep Festival was born on April 2nd, 2023! We hand out a scholarship to a Marion County student every year. Last year was $2500. This is a way to give back to the community in her honor and memory where she was raised.” Hearing stories like these, about turning grief and loss into something beautiful, is so heartening. Creating a community event and fundraising for students is such an amazing thing, and we are so glad Cathy shared this story with us!
A huge bonus is when our sales staff receive positive feedback from customers, especially when they’re from great people like Cathy. In regards to her experience with UGP, Cathy said “EXCELLENT!! Anna reached out to me knowing we do shirts every year. She helped us find a shirt, priced it out, had them poly bagged for ease, and also a size sticker on the outside of the bags. They were shipped to my home and everything was super easy. We will be back!
Charley and Anna were childhood friends. :) I am glad she reached out and we gave her the business.” Thank you, Cathy, we can’t wait to see your event next year!
We truly love helping our customers bring their designs to life on customized apparel and we are always happy to share our customer’s stories. It’s very inspirational! Whether it’s for work, for your family, and friends, or just for yourself, there will always be a reason to customize some gear.
Again, we congratulate Cathy Clayton for winning the April Pic of the Month contest! We can’t wait to be there to print your next order of custom shirts!
